The Brief
Slingshot has always been known as a wakeboard company. The brief and design direction for the wake boot and binding category is to create innovative and progressive pieces of footwear that change the consumer mindset about the brand.
The Solution
We focused heavily on the athletes. Collaboration is at the very core of every single binding design brief. Talking with the riders and asking them what they want from a performance and aesthetic point of view is the first part of the solution.
The Role
We tackled everything. We speak to the riders, we mange the initial sketches and drawings. We then do color studies and mood boards. Then we communicated with the factory on various rounds of samples until we arrive at the finished product.
